36 new paintings - 360 new collages

I have been recommended to add more artworks in this price range Euro 3000 to Euro 7000 and perhaps consider creating similar artworks, using flag/national colors of all major EU and North American and primarily Asian countries. I have done so. So far motifs inspired by China, Japan, United States, Canada, France, Italy, Portugal, Germany and the Netherlands.

All in size 201 x 139 cm (79.2 x 54.8 inches).

See the paintings in the New Asbjorn Lonvig Flag/Country Selection.

Further:

I have been asked to consider smaller sizes - sizes under 1 meter. Over the years I have made lots of paper cut-outs. I have developed a very secure technique when it comes to color depth and color fastness. I have chosen 4 specific colors - red, yellow, green and blue, supplemented with black/white and in rare cases with grey and light blue. I silk-screen print these colors on quality sheets before I cut. Then the cut-outs are mounted and I have made a color fast paper collage in silk-screen quality. I’ll do these collages in edition 10.

I wrote an article on “Matisse and Louisiana” about an exhibition concerning Henri Matisse’s “second Life”.This encouraged me very much.In his “second life” Matisse made numerous paper cut-outs.
